Hydraulic and Engineering Services Ltd is a versatile engineering company specialising in the repair, supply and manufacture of hydraulic cylinders and associated hydraulic equipment relating to machinery, mobile plant, cranes, marine, recycling and many other industrial areas.

We also undertake all general engineering and manufacturing as well as reclamation repairs.

Our engineering team cover a range of disciplines including diagnostic work, new installations, removal and re-installations of components, upgrades, renewals, hose replacement service, and system monitoring.

We are a privately owned company operating within our 30th year with a wealth of experience within the industry through our team of engineers; currently employing 28 personnel across the range of disciplines we operate in.

We are looking to employ a mechanical engineer that we can train and develop into a hydraulic systems engineer, to work across our engineering departments to carrying out installations, service, new builds and repairs primarily within our factory, but willing to be flexible for ongoing support on our customer sites as required.

Hours of Work:

Basic 40hr week

Starting salary circa £24,000 depending on experience

Overtime on an as and when basis paid at 1.5 x and 2x hourly rate

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • You will be responsible for performing repairs on hydraulic equipment
  • Trouble- shooting equipment malfunctions.
  • Building new equipment to engineering drawing’s
  • Completing appropriate documentation.
  • Complete all necessary reports and inspections as required.

The person we are looking for:

  • City and Guilds, Or NVQ Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with Practical Hydraulic, systems preferred, however full product training will be given
  • Good grasp of the English language (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Committed to safety
  • Willingness to work extra hours

Job Type: Full-time Permanent

Starting salary: £25,000.00 plus per annum
